Annie Clark Tanner Fellowship in the Environmental Humanities
Next application cycle begins fall 2026 for the 2027-28 academic year
Tanner Humanities Center and the Environmental Humanities Program are pleased to support this renewable yearly fellowship that funds a scholar/writer whose work explores just environmental futures from the perspective of the humanities. An ideal candidate will have a research agenda engaged with topics like Indigenous ecological knowledges, environmental justice, community-engagement or other pressing issues connecting humanities scholarship with the environment. This fellow will also be a capable teacher and able to explore this work in a seminar with environmental humanities graduate students. Open to external advanced doctoral candidates, visiting faculty, postdocs, and professional writers.
