Energy Democracy Symposium
July 12-13, 2017
Organized by Environmental Humanities faculty affiliate Danielle Endres, the Symposium’s theme is Energy Democracy: Creating a Research Agenda. Co-sponsored by the Communication Institute, the College of Humanities, the National Science Foundation, and the National Communication Association, the Energy Democracy Symposium brings together an interdisciplinary group of scholars to create a research agenda for examining the intersections between energy technologies and democratic participation in decision-making. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Allison McFarlane, Professor of Public Policy at George Washington University and former chair of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
