25/26 EH Research Professor Call-out
Environmental Humanities Program has opened the next round of applications for the Research Professor award. All faculty members (tenured, tenure-track, career-line) who wish to pursue environmental research from humanities perspectives are encouraged to apply.
EH Research Professor benefits include:
- One-course release per year, paid out at $7,500 to the department/program
- Annual research funding of $1,500
- An opportunity to present research to your peers in a public forum
- Engagement with the intellectual life of the EH community
The EH Research Professor is supported by generous funding from the Kendeda Foundation and our endowment. We will offer one professorship for 2025-2026, with the expectation of renewal for 2026-27.
Applications should include an abstract, a research proposal and a letter of support from your chair or director as detailed in the cover sheet. These are due to EH Academic Program Manager, Cory Pike cory.pike @ utah.edu by 12/1/24.
Dr. Chris Low currently serves in this role; read more about his research focus on water, desalination, carbon infrastructure, energy, and climate change in the Middle East.
